New York State has no contractor license. In New York City the Department of Buildings licenses the skilled trades and registers general contractors; this record is a DOB general contractor. Home improvement work on a house or apartment also needs a separate DCWP home improvement contractor license.

Before you hire Commodore Construct Corp

  1. Confirm the record on the official site

Our copy is from the state's file dated November 4, 2026. The official record is live and also lists complaints and discipline, which our data doesn't include.

    Search GC11261 on nyc.gov

  2. Make sure the name on the contract matches

The contract, the permit and the license should all name Commodore Construct Corp or Jacqueline Roche. A different company name on the paperwork usually means someone else is working under this license.

  3. Check the license covers your job

This is a general contractor (dob) license. If your job is a different trade, the contractor needs that license too, or a licensed sub for that part.
