What the license should say
In Oregon you may see one of these:
- Certified Home Inspector
- Must be certified, and must own or work for a CCB-licensed business.
The rule to know
Anyone who advertises, bids or performs residential inspections of more than one structural component must be certified by the CCB.
If something goes wrong
A home inspector services contractor must carry a $15,000 surety bond and at least $100,000 general liability insurance.
