What the license should say

In Rhode Island you may see one of these:

Home Inspector: Licensed to inspect homes for compensation.
Associate Home Inspector: Licensed associate working under a licensed home inspector.

Anyone who provides or represents themselves as a home inspector for compensation must be licensed.

Licensed home inspectors must carry errors and omissions and general liability policies of at least $500,000 aggregate each.
