Plumber licenses in
Delaware
Delaware licenses some plumbers statewide and leaves the rest to cities and counties.

What the license should say
In Delaware you'll see one of these on a plumber's card, bid or truck:
- Master plumber
- Individual; the only state plumbing license, required to provide plumbing services or use the title licensed plumber.
Hiring a company, not a person?
Plumbing services must be provided by or under a licensed master plumber who is the employer or works full time for the same business (24 Del. C. 1807); county and city contractor licenses are separate.
Doing it yourself
A homeowner may do plumbing other than gas piping in their own home that is not for sale or rent if they file a permit application with the local inspection authority (24 Del. C. 1807(c)(2)).
City and county licenses
Some places in Delaware also license plumbers locally.
