Plumber licenses in
Nebraska
Nebraska has no statewide license for plumbers. Cities and counties license them.
There's no state search to run. Check the license with the city or county where the work is (see below).
What the license should say
License types vary by city or county. Ask which local license they hold and check it with that office.
Hiring a company, not a person?
No state plumbing license; the Nebraska Department of Labor contractor registration applies to all contractors but is not a skills license, and cities such as Lincoln and Omaha register or license plumbing contractors.
Doing it yourself
In Lincoln, only the owner may apply for a homeowner plumbing permit, and only if they live or will live in the single-family home and it is not for sale or rent.
City and county licenses
Nebraska leaves plumber licensing to local governments. These are the largest with an online search.
